Lake country on the Shuswap side, and a long gravel road into the Monashees on the other: Monashee Park is about 62 km past Cherryville, the last of it on active logging roads. The lakeside campgrounds book through BC Parks and are full from July to Labour Day.
Campgrounds — BC Parks
- Shuswap Lake — at Scotch Creek on the north shore, 19 km from the highway at Squilax, and the one that fills first
- Herald — on the Salmon Arm of the lake near Tappen, with the Margaret Falls trail in the park
- Mabel Lake — two campgrounds, Trinity and Monashee, 37 km north-east of Lumby
- Monashee — backcountry camping at Spectrum Lake, 6 km from the trailhead, and Peters Lake, reached from Cherryville by the Sugar Lake and Spectrum Creek forest service roads; low-clearance vehicles may struggle at the log sort
Hostels — Hostelling International has none in the Shuswap or the Monashees.
Huts — the Alpine Club of Canada has none in the Monashees.
