Mount Assiniboine
Lake Magog campground, the Naiset Huts, and the lodge in Mount Assiniboine Provincial Park.
The one region here you cannot drive to. Everything is a 27 km hike in from Mount Shark (Kananaskis) or Sunshine (Banff), or a helicopter on scheduled flight days — so book the bed before the trip, not the other way round.

- Lake Magog campground — the main backcountry campground, a short walk from the lodge. Permits are booked in advance through BC Parks; it fills for weekends through the summer.
- Naiset Huts — four historic cabins near Magog, with a shared cook shelter. Booked through Mount Assiniboine Lodge, which manages them on behalf of BC Parks.
- Mount Assiniboine Lodge — the lodge itself, catered and the only serviced accommodation in the park. Books up a season ahead.
- Hind Hut — a small climbers' hut in the Assiniboine Bowl, reached by the Gmoser Highway from Magog Lake. It is not an Alpine Club of Canada hut and is not on their booking system; see the BC Parks page for access and conditions.
For the approach, the nearest road-accessible campgrounds are in Kananaskis Country and Canmore at the Mount Shark end and Banff National Park at the Sunshine end.
