Backcountry Huts
The Alpine Club of Canada operates a network of backcountry huts through the Rockies, the Selkirks, and beyond. Booking is a rolling window: reservations open six months ahead for ACC members and three months ahead for non-members, which is why membership pays for itself if you use them.
A hut is not a hostel. Most have no power or running water, several need glacier travel or a mountaineering approach to reach at all, and a few are allocated by lottery rather than first-come. Read the individual hut page before booking one.

Each hut is listed on the page for the region it is reached from:

Outside these regions
Two huts belong to eastern sections of the club, well beyond anything this site covers: Keene Farm Hut (Montreal Section) and the Wally Joyce Hut at Bon Echo (Toronto Section).
Not every hut in the mountains is an ACC hut. The Naiset Huts and the Hind Hut at Mount Assiniboine are BC Parks and lodge-managed, and are booked separately.
