Banff National Park — camping & booking
- Reservable — Tunnel Mountain (Village I & II and Trailer Court), Two Jack Lakeside, Two Jack Main (Banff townsite); Johnston Canyon, Castle Mountain, Protection Mountain (Bow Valley Parkway); Lake Louise (tent & trailer). All Banff and Lake Louise frontcountry campgrounds are reservable.
Yoho National Park, BC — camping & booking
- Reservable — Kicking Horse, Takakkaw Falls (walk-in, tents only), Monarch (FCFS in shoulder season)
- First-come, first-served — Hoodoo Creek
Lake O'Hara is a special case: no private vehicles, so you either hike the 11 km access road or ride the reserved Parks Canada shuttle bus. Both the day-use bus and the campground are allocated by advance reservation / random draw earlier in the year — see Plan a trip to Lake O'Hara.
- Hostels — HI Banff Alpine Centre, HI Lake Louise Alpine Centre, HI Castle Mountain Wilderness Hostel (Bow Valley Parkway). Note: HI Yoho / Whiskey Jack is temporarily closed — verify before relying on it.
